Humboldt Penguin is a resident of the coastal waters of Peru and northern Chile where it nests colonially on islands and rocky coasts. It is one of only 3 penguin species that venture into tropical waters (the others being Galapagos Penguin and the Jackass Penguin of Southern Africa).
